What is this?
The League of Women Voters understands the critical nature of the redistricting process. The way voting-district lines are re-drawn following each Census affects voting power for a decade. We are deeply disappointed by the failure of the Washington State Redistricting Commission to complete their task. If you attended our Speak Up School training sessions this past year, you may have valuable input on how we can work to improve this process.
Please join us for an open discussion. Did you testify to the Commission? Did you follow their work? What did you observe? What worked well? What needs to be changed? Let's talk about it, and begin to build a plan to guarantee we have fair maps in the next redistricting cycle. We will be joined by Alison McCaffree, Redistricting Issue Chair for the League of Women Voters Washington.
Date: Tuesday, November 30
Time: 7-8 pm
This will be a virtual discussion. We will send you a Zoom link once your registration is complete.
