Shoreline Management Act Study Consensus Process UPDATE

October 12th and 13th, 10 am and 6:30 pm, 14 participants launched our countywide effort to understand and weigh in on the two year LWVWA study of the Shoreline Management Act at 50+ years. The consensus questions help give direction to the Committee as it works to form a position for adoption at the 2023 Convention. The Committee’s study had revealed 14 issues with the implantation of the ACT. On the 13th discussion of the first 3 questions proved robust and the groups managed to complete 5 of 9 the questions. Resource Person, Betsey Carson of the LWVWA Committee, assured participants that Comments would be carefully considered. Responses to the questions showed that members either strongly agreed or simply agreed that a position formed by the LWVWA Committee should undertake to include that concept.
We encourage members to join the process no later than October 17th. Register at www.lwvsnoho.org !!!
