Our League's Action Chair will post Action Alerts here and in The Voter newsletter. These Alerts are messages to mobilize our members and supporters to take action in support of a specific point of view, with the goal of influencing public policy.
Take Part in a Week of Action to Reinstate the Voting Right Act
June 25 is the anniversary of the Shelby County v. Holder decision, the case that essentially gutted important provisions of the Voting Rights Act and changed the scope of voting rights in this country as we know it. As we approach the sixth anniversary of that decision, League of Women Voters members and supporters will engage in a week of action. Check out how you can participate each day.
The week of action will start on Monday, June 24, and end on Sunday, June 30.
