Delta Neighborhood Tree Planting
Two events are being hosted by Snohomish Conservation District and the City of Everett in the Delta Neighborhood. Sign up to plant 3–5-gallon trees to create habitat, clean our air and stormwater, and beautify the area. No experience is necessary! Wear your LWV T-shirt and bring work gloves if you have them. Gloves, coffee, tools, water, and snacks will be provided, as well as a fun and informative short lesson on how to plant and care for young trees. These are family-friendly events, and all ages are welcome.
Registration will be opening soon.
- October 12 at Jackson Park, 7:30 A.M.-Noon. Register by October 9.
- October 26 at Wiggums Hollow Park: This will be a spooky planting event. Wear your work-ready Halloween costumes! Hot cider, candy, and glow stick accessories will be available for all volunteers. Register by October 23.
Bonus information: The Snohomish Conservation District is still looking for great homes for free trees in the program boundaries. If you have a great home for a tree (such as in your yard, at your work, in a community space like a schoolyard or churchyard),
request a free tree and they'll be in touch! To see if your neighborhood qualifies, please take a look at this
map, and then
use this link to apply. Find more information on the program
