Ballot Curing Postcard Project

Jen Winckler | Published on 10/4/2024

This postcard writing opportunity is open to League members only. We may plan an optional in person event for one Saturday, but otherwise, the project involves picking up packets of 30 postcards, writing a quick scripted note, affixing a preprinted mailing label, and dropping them in the mail a day later. Each packet takes anywhere from 45-90 minutes depending on your energy level.

The needs are a little unpredictable based on voter turnout and signature challenge rate. If you’d like to be kept in the loop on this project please fill out this interest/commitment survey. Contact Jen Winckler with questions.

Ballots are mailed on October 17th. Postcard packets are picked up on Fridays (11 A.M. in Everett or 1 P.M. in Brier), and the days most likely needed will be Oct 25th, Nov 1st, Nov 8th, and Nov 15th. You can sign up for as many as you have energy for!

Don’t forget - the Elections Department hires seasonal employees for every election! If you’d like to be involved in the inner workings of an election, find the opportunities here

We will also be posting Election Observation volunteer opportunities when they are announced. Keep an eye out on our Volunteer page, and be sure you are signed in as a member to see them.
