A Wildly Successful National Voter Registration Day!

I’ll be honest, not even the planning team for this event from Goodwill, Common Power, and LWVSC could have imagined these numbers –
Across the 12 Goodwill stores in five counties, we:
- Held over 2,500 conversations.
- Checked the voter registration status for nearly 350 people.
- Registered 325 new voters.
- Updated the registrations of 145 voters.
- Sent at least 88 registration forms home for folks to sign up their children or friends.
In the three stores in Snohomish County, we had conversations (or as I like to put it, we “planted a seed”) with over 300 folks, we checked nearly 70 registrations, and we registered or updated over 100 voters.
We did well for being in a county where nearly 90% of eligible voters are already registered!
Many thanks to all who volunteered – your work made an immeasurable impact, and our Goodwill and Common Power partners are so impressed by your knowledge and enthusiasm. Let’s do this again next year!
