Volunteer opportunity: Lynnwood Juneteenth Celebration

About this event

Volunteer
Here's another fun volunteering opportunity. NAACP Snohomish County is celebrating Juneteenth on Saturday, June 14 and asked our League to join in. The event will be held at Martha Lake County Park.  LWVSC will register voters while we celebrate family, community, our Democracy and FUN!

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the U.S. were informed of their freedom - over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It's a day of remembrance, reflections and celebration of Black freefom and resilience.

Be sure to Login so that you can sign up to volunteer.
