Voting-district lines drawn in 2021 will determine how strong a voice each voter has in coming elections for the next 10 years. The League of Women Voters invites you to Speak Up. Share your input on how these maps can better reflect your voice and vote.
The Redistricting Commission has scheduled the first round of public outreach sessions. These are organized by Congressional District, but you may comments at any session. You can find the full schedule and information on how to register to testify on the website: redistricting.wa.gov. All meetings are public, will include translation services, and are broadcast on TVW.
If you would like some help on how to prepare or deliver compelling personal testimony, take a look at our series of Speak Up School trainings, available on our YouTube Channel.
Remember – your voting power starts with fair maps. We encourage you to put yourself on the map and speak up.
