Postcard writing for General Election
Members - you can email Kate Lunceford or click on the volunteer sign up! This will let us know you're ready to help and we can arrange to get you the postcards and information.
We have packets of 30 postcards that include addresses and stamps, and suggested wording. You may pick up one or more packets from Kate Lunceford in Bothell. If the trip is too difficult for you, we will have someone deliver packets to you. We have about 2,000 postcards to write; they have the EETV! Logo and League logo on the front.
The cards should be put in the mail near the time ballots and voter pamphlets are received in the mail - any time during the week of October 11-15, as close to ballot drop as possible.
For this general election the League is targeting historically low voter turnout precincts with high concentrations of ethnic populations, and voters between the ages of 25 to 45. Some of these precincts have been targeted in previous elections. They will be used as a side by side comparison, at the end of this election, to determine the effectiveness of hand-written postcards among these precincts.
