What is this?
Please join the Center for Responsible Forestry and the League of Women Voters of Snohomish County to learn about Evaluating Mature Forests of Snohomish County.
You will learn about the last remaining mature forests on public lands in Snohomish County and what makes them unique and ecologically important. You’ll
learn some basic ground truthing skills and how to document the biodiversity of the forest. These skills are needed to evaluate all of the mature forests in our county so that we can tell their stories for their protection. How complex is the forest? Who lives there? How much canopy exists in the forest?
