What is this?
You're invited to stand in support of protecting mature forests on Monday June 26th at several I-5 overpasses from 8:00am to 9:00am rush hour. We will provide signs or make your own. Contact Kate Lunceford for a location near you!
Your efforts will be captured and promoted throughout the PNW and more importantly in Snohomish County! We’re calling for this action to elevate the call for forest protection as a crucial pillar of climate action and to demonstrate growing grassroots momentum across the PNW region. On the second anniversary of the devastating 2021 Heat Dome, we’ll highlight the severity of the climate crisis, and the potential for our forests to be major climate solutions through carbon sequestration.
This will put our message into the news and on the public radar, and we'll be working with media outlets to share pictures and help maximize press coverage of the day.
Please contact Kate Lunceford at kurlykate888@gmail.com to join the fun!
