Observer Jen Winckler reported on the July 12 Edmonds School Board meeting. She noted that:
There was a first reading of the 2022-2023 budget
District enrollment continues to decline
There is a continuing budget shortfall between expenses and state funding
The board continues to discuss the sexual education curriculum in order to stop the spread of misinformation
The board is committed to using inclusive language supporting LGBTQ+ students and staff
