Our League has received a Jackson Foundation Opportunity Grant in the amount of $1,000 to support the printing of educational brochures. This grant will be used to print a full year’s supply of our brochures: Fact or Fiction and Your Voice Matters. Brochures will be printed in both English and Spanish, distributed to our 115+ courier delivery sites, and shared at tabling events throughout the coming year. You can also find copies on our website.
We are so grateful to board member Suleiny Altamirano for her fine work translating these pieces into Spanish: ¿Realidad o Ficcion? and Tu Voz Importa. Thanks go as well to the Civil Discourse Committee (on hiatus) for their past work in fostering civility, fighting mis- and disinformation, and promoting active civic involvement.
The Henry M. Jackson Foundation fosters and amplifies effective leadership that tackles key issues of national and global importance. Opportunity grants provide organizations with smaller, targeted funding aligned with the Foundation’s strategic plan goals. The Foundation supported our Delta Neighborhood Tree Planting Project in the City of Everett. We are delighted by this second gift of support and pleased to learn that the Foundation finds value in these informational pieces.
