IT'S A GREAT TIME TO RECRUIT NEW YOUNGER AND DIVERSE MEMBERS!
Are you ready to join a new subgroup of the Membership Committee dedicated to reach out and recruit new members? I'm looking for a core group to work on developing ways to include the next generation of voters.
It's almost the pivotal 2024 national election year where democracy is on the line. If you are excited by expanding our influence, bringing in a wider range of members, let's get together and brainstorm ideas. I'd like to hear from committee members how recruiting can benefit your projects: interns, volunteers, mentoring?
I've been in contact with other local Leagues and I've learned a simple first step: adding a printed register form for joining or volunteering. This form provides a list of opportunities offered and can be passed out at tabling and other events.
There are so many ways we can restart programs working with high schools and community colleges and continue collaborative efforts with other like-minded organizations to encourage a new generation to become active participants in defending our democracy.
