On November 16th, we will have an all-member meeting at Patty’s Eggnest, 6720 Evergreen Way in Everett at 11 a.m. The topic of this meeting is "Follow the Washington State Legislative Session." Carol Sullivan and Jody Trautwein will share ways to discover what may be the hot issues when the legislative session convenes in January. We’ll learn about those bills that the League is supporting—and why – and how important it is to respond to Action Alerts. These League member speakers are leaders of two different committees—one local and one statewide--that come together to understand legislative bills. We will find out how to express "pro" or "con" opinions to our legislators. We'll learn how vital it is to sign up for the LWVWA Legislative Newsletter, which is sent every week during the legislative session. This meeting will bring the legislative process into focus for all who attend.
