Women’s Healthcare Is on the Ballot

I am brought to tears when I think of what happened to Amber Nicole Thurman. She died due to delayed treatment for sepsis after rare complications from a medication abortion. She was in the hospital for 20 hours while medical personnel decided whether to perform a D&C. (For more details, see this

Thurman’s case makes it abundantly clear that reproductive rights are healthcare rights. I cannot think of any other life-saving medical treatment that is delayed in this fashion.
