Resisting Threats to Democracy

Wendy Colbert | Published on 3/2/2026

The League of Women Voters believes that to protect and defend democracy, we must show up persistently—attending rallies and protests over and over again.
We have an opportunity to do just that on Saturday, March 28, for the third No Kings rally.

Our Snohomish County League will be present with a table at No Kings III events in both Everett and Edmonds. At the Everett rally, we’ll be using our new League banner as we march from the Snohomish County Campus Plaza to Broadway for sign waving.

To prepare for the No Kings rallies in Everett and Edmonds – or wherever you go – get your rally signs and League T-shirts at the March 19 all-member meeting from 1-3 p.m. at the Mukilteo Library.
  • Each rally sign has a different message on each side. Suggested donation $5.
  • We have a variety of ready-to-wear League T-shirts. Suggested donation $20.
Bring checks or cash to make your donations.

Check our League calendar for more information about the rallies at Everett or Edmonds – and how you can volunteer.

Here are a few other ways League members can help our community to resist threats to democracy this month. Keep checking our League's calendar as more events are added!
