What Are Your Activist Types?
Activists take definitive action to mobilize and engage against threats to democracy. Six defined activist roles enable League members to individually participate in several roles at a time. They are listed here, followed by these highly important opportunities to fulfill them:
Attendee – You show up at all-member and committee teams. Being at League gatherings, you take ownership of the League and your participation in it.
** Next all-member meetings: April 16th – in-person 10:00 A.M. at the Lynnwood library, 7:00 P.M. on Zoom. Register from the
LWVSC Calendar. **
Amplifier – After the meetings, you spread the word. You visit our website, share our Facebook or Instagram posts, and extend our reach by amplifying what you’ve learned.
** Like and Share! On Facebook, search for lwvsnoco; on Instagram, it’s lwvsnoho. **
Supporter –Your donations directly fuel the League’s mission and enable the work that others can commit to do.
** Donate to
LWV Snohomish County. **
Awareness Builder – The League runs on awareness – and we need your voice. By updating our communications, editing League email templates, or writing Voter articles, you reach more people than a single letter ever could. From League members to voters across Snohomish County, your words power an informed electorate.
** Writers needed to update Welcome letters to new members and the “About LWVSC” booklet, and to write Voter articles like this one! **
Networker/Connector – As a Networker/Connector, you're a League ambassador everywhere you go. In every community group, club, or organization you're part of, you spot connection opportunities – bringing the League into new circles and building coalitions with others who share our commitment to defending democracy.
Rising Activist – Democracy needs you – you know it: you feel the urgency. You're ready to act. And the League is here to channel that energy into real, proven impact.
There are lots of ways to be on the front lines and make a difference. Showing up at League events is on the front line – meeting real voters, hearing what drives them, and addressing the issues that matter most. It's safe, it's effective, and it works.
