Sustaining the League Community - Job Openings

Jeanne Crevier | Published on 4/1/2026

Our League in Snohomish County offers its members some new opportunities to step into several hands-on Rising Activist roles, some that can be performed from home. As “life happens” and past leaders step back, these opportunities offer a way for others to contribute, keeping the League community sustained into the future.

Check these out, and follow along on the accompanying slides, linked here for more information and whom to contact.

Table Captain – like party planning, you will coordinate the only direct, person-to-person outreach to voters proven to raise voter turnout! It doesn't get more effective or productive than that.

Table Volunteer – a great way to start, and to be an activist at the highest level. You’ll encourage voters to show up and let their voices be heard, which is enormously important . . . and satisfying for you!

All-Member Meeting team – four or five members work together to contact a guest speaker, plan the agenda, host the meeting, and write the Voter article. No heavy lifting, and you gain camaraderie with like-minded folks. Get a friend or two to join with you!

New Member Welcome team – another three to five members work together to update the Welcome letter, prepare and mail Welcome packets, coordinate introductory meetups with new members, and connect new members to their interest areas. Be the League voice that says, “So glad you’re here!”

Finally, we have two committee lead positions that are open – one in an advocacy area, and one in operations:

Communications Chair – coordinates across all the areas of Communications (website, Voter, social media, etc.) and manages the information that we push to the public, ensuring that it aligns with League policies and principles and that it adheres to brand standards.

Natural Resources Chair – must be passionate about protecting the Earth’s environment; determines what knowledge areas should be expanded or explored, should know the rules for local government under the Growth Management Act, and coordinates with other environmental groups. Also gets to plan the League field trips – you will always learn something from them!
