Pilchuck Audubon’s Brian Zinke put out a call for volunteers to do a spring cleanup of invasive plants on March 21. Stewards of the environment weeded, pruned, and hauled away invasives.
Greg Phyfer, volunteer coordinator, says he loves to spend his time educating high school students and other groups about this project. In addition to the salmon recovery section, the trails offer labeled plants and wildlife spotting points, and includes a section on medicinal varieties.
